This is part 2 of a series regarding the I-45 Corroder killings. The killings started in 1971. There are at least two dozen young women and children who have been abducted and murdered along Interstate 45 from Houston, Texas to Galveston, Texas. It is not known for sure how many different murderers are involved in these killings. It is evident though that there is at least one serial killer involved if not more. An odd proportion of the victims were last seen at or near convenience stores before they went missing. The staff at Sugar Land Chiropractors would like to see justice for all of these women and girls that have been murdered along the I-45 Corridor.
Michelle Doherty Thomas was only 17 when she was last seen leaving her Alta Loma home to meet friends on October 5, 1985. Michelle Thomas was never seen again. Her body has never been found. The staff at Sugar Land Chiropractors understand the difficulty faced with finding Michelle Thomas after all these years.
Jane Doe #2 was found February 3, 1986 in the League City killing fields where previously Heidi Villerial Fye and Laura Miller were found. The time of death is estimated to be about six months before the body was found. Jane doe #2 is described as being a white female between the ages of 23 to 26 and having reddish brown hair. Jane Doe #2 probably died from a gunshot wound to the back of the one to the back. New sketches have been drawn up for Jane Doe #2 and Jane #4 number for the new sketches are basically younger versions of the older sketches.
Suzanne Renee Richerson was 22 when she vanished while working the lobby of Casa Del Mar condominiums on October 7, 1988. Sleeping coworker in the room over the lobby heard a scream and a slamming car door at about 6:30 AM in the morning. Then another scream before hearing a car drive away. Richersonís shoe was found in the parking lot and scratches found on the lobby door. Her body has never been found. The staff at Sugar Land Chiropractors would like to see that Suzanne Richersonís remains be found.
Jane Doe #4 was discovered on September 19, 1989 in a wooded area on the east side of Houston, Texas. Her age is estimated to be between the years 14 and 19. She is described as being 5í2î to 5í5î and between 110 and 130 pounds. She has brown hair. Her estimated time of death was one to three months before the discovery of her body. The cause of death was a gunshot wound to her head. The staff at Sugar Land Chiropractors would like to see all of these Jane Doeís identified.
Jane Doe #3 was found Aug 8, 1991 in the League City killing fields were several other ladies had previously been found. She had been beaten and strangled and her estimated time of death was up to four months prior to the discovery of her body. Described as white between the ages of 24 to 34 with brown hair. Update: new sketches have been drawn up for Jane Doe # 2 and Jane Doe #4 the new sketches are basically younger versions of the old sketches.
Trellis Sykes was 16 years old when she was abducted on her way to school in Houston, Texas on May 13, 1994. She was found later the same day in a field where she had been murdered.
Lynette Bibbs was 14 years old when she vanished. She disappeared with friend Tamera Fisher from teen club in Houston on February 1, 1996. She was found dumped on side of a rural road near Cleveland, Texas two days later period she was partially clothed and shot in the back of the head and once inside.
Tamera Fisher was 15 years old and she was last seen with her friend Lynette Bibbs at Houston teen club on February 1, 1996 she also was found two days later dumped on the side of a rural road near Cleveland TX, she was fully clothed and murdered by gunshot wound to the head.
Crystal Baker was only 13 years old when she vanished. She had called a friend from Texas City, Texas convenience store on March 5, 1986. Her body was found on the same day 25 miles North of Texas city under Trinity River bridge, but she was not identified for two weeks. Baker had been strangled and be and sexually assaulted. It is surprising to Sugar Land Chiropractors how many of the young ladies were last seen at convenience stores.
Laura Smithers was 12 years old when she was abducted on April 3rd, 1987. She was jogging near her home in friends wood Texas. She was found nude except for one sock two weeks later in a Pasadena retention pond. She had been nearly decapitated. The staff at Sugar Land Chiropractors do not understand how someone can murder a young girl of 12 years of age.
Erica Ann Garcia was 14 years old when she disappeared from teen club in Houston TX in June the 7th 1987. She was found dead behind a nearby vacant building. She had been strangled to death. It is surprising to Sugar Land Chiropractors how many girls have gone missing from Teen Club in Houston, Texas.
Jessica Kane was 17 years old when she vanished, she disappeared after leaving a Bennigans restaurant in Webster about 2:00 AM in the morning on August 17, 1997. Her truck was found about 2 hours later along I-45 in La Marque, Texas. There was no signs of a struggle and the truck was completely operational. A witness reports seeing Jessica Kane along I-45 walking from her park truck towards a red Isuzu Amigo that was part behind. Cane was never seen again. It is apparent to Sugar Land Chiropractors that Jessica Kane knew her abductor.
Sarah Trusty, 23 years old was last seen in Algoa near her church on her bicycle about 11:00 PM on July 12, 2002. The bike was found in the foyer of a church the next day, but Sarah Trusty was not found until July 28th dumped on a dike in Texas City, Texas. It is extremely odd to Sugar Land Chiropractors how many ladies and girls were dumped near water.
Maria Isabel Solis 16 was last seen in Houston on March the 3rd 2003 getting off a city bus near her school. Fellow students in nearby motel manager heard screams. Maria solace had not been seen again. Update it was reported on February 9, 2005 that the remains of soldiers had been identified. Her body was recovered in a wooded area near Sugarland, Texas on August 13, 2003 She remained unidentified due to forensic laboratory backlogs. The body was discovered near a closed US 59 turnaround at the Brazos River about 20 miles Southwest of Houston, Texas.
